Himalaya Paragliding was started by Vincent Verbon, after he immigrated to India in the summer of 2003.
In 1996, when he was just 20 years old, Vincent travelled for the first time to Asia. Together with a friend he travelled in 8 months time from Turkey, through Iran, Pakistan and India to Nepal. Coming back in Holland he continued his Business studies, but already the travelling seed was firmly planted. It was only a couple of days after his graduation when he faced yet another adventure: this time he went to South America with his mountainbike and his scottish highland pipes and cycled, walked or hitchhiked his way through Chili, Argentinia, Bolivia, Peru and Ecuador.
When at the end of the trip there were even some dollars left in his wallet, he decided to go and live one of his dreams: paragliding. After many hours of soaring above the sleepy fishing village Crusita, he had definately made up his mind: 'this is my sport!'.

From 2000 up till 2003 Vincent started his biggest adventure so far: an office job!
In practice however there was a bigger chance of finding him somewhere in France,
Germany, Italy or Switzerland, hanging under his paraglider or teaching new
enthusiasts to the sport.
Finally in the summer of 2003 the decision was made to immigrate to Asia, to go paragliding
and set up flying adventures into the Himalayas.
From mid November 2003 Vincent started working in India as a group leader for
Intrepid,
an Australian travel organisation.
He has travelled extensively in India and has a wealth of knowledge about the country.
Whether these Indian flying adventures will be the end of the story? Probably not. Pakistan, Nepal, China, all these stunning Himalayan peaks are there to be explored by paraglider!
