Diarrhea
|
'You're going to India?!? Bet that will be a nice diarrhea adventure!'
Remarks like this are often made. In practice it really isn't that bad, as long as you take some precautions. Here's some advice:
- Only drink mineral water in India from known brands (or take a waterfilter with you);
- It's best to avoid eating meat, but if you do, make sure the meat has been prepared properly (in other words be wary about eating at street stalls);
- Avoid eating ice creams or ice cubes and any other product in which unboiled water has been used (like for instance in the popular 'Lassi' drink)
